Another blown account

I missed a turn around that the algo nailed.

So proceeded to try and get on -> only to stop out when it moved against me for like 3 pts.

It seemed weak -> so I went short -> got trapped and kept hoping for a turn around to lose less when it just kept driving higher.

Then I tried to get a few 1pt scalps with higher leverage only to be inevitable pick one wrong trade and lose big with higher leverage.

Over-leveraged and got liquidated a few times, and went long “in theme” but not in response to any real buying pattern.

Blew $1400 after winning $800 on an nice starting week.

Seems like I’m starting to turn the corner -> only to have all the negative aspects of my trading come up and have massive losses with expansive leverage.

How much do you try again? When you keep failing? And how much do you just completely change things?

Right now, algo’s seem slightly worse at entries + a few dumb things + and yet they break even or win

And I seem to lose constantly because of the bad things I do, yet my good trades are much better.

It’s tough. It might just be trade management — in part, perhaps I’m unrealistically expecting better performance and having stops too tight.

Various paths forward:

  1. Run algo on 1 micro -> do nothing else
  2. Run algo on 3 minis -> on ticktick or something
  3. Try 1 trade -> qualify -> run algo on ticktick
  4. Cash out 10k from retirement -> yolo run funds / algo
